All C Monotone Tuning Demo

A few months ago I put the electric in an all-strings-to-C monotone tuning. It was quite unwieldy, but I made a few loops at the time which I came back to listen to yesterday. So, listening back, I decided to upload this electric guitar loop (it's two guitars I think), as it had a certain thing to it I that I liked.

Last night I decided to build a quick demo track around it, using another drumbeat from Jim Dooley's site.

I was pleased enough with the result to post it here, and thought it belonged in a blog article of it's own right, rather than the usual 'How it might sound in a track' snippets I'm doing with some of the other loops. This is defintely more of a track with a number of layers and various bits going on. Anyways, hope you like it!

PS - the basic loop the whole thing sits over was in all C tuning, but the guitar parts I popped on top are in this strange Peruvian tuning I put the guitar in from time to time which is EAC#F#BD#.

Criminally long time since I added anything

No excuses really... Just had to put this on a back burner as I've been dealing with an intense day job, and a few other bits of website fun, including a Tumblr blog I set up to showcase some art I am doing, inspired by J.G Ballard's 'The Drowned World'.

The Acoustic Loops website is in the back of my mind every day, and although I've not been able to populate with new content, I've still been recording a fair bit, when I can. Let's just say spare time is not what it used to be at the moment!

Just feel I'm lacking the clear space I need to chop out some decent new loops. But they are on the way.

In the mean time I enjoyed putting this little fuzzy piece together as a demo number. I'll chop some loops from this as the 'not so dirgy' un-layered loops are quite nice and poppy, in a fuzzed-up kind of way.
